FAYETTEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA
Everybody gets one.
The first sim racing house that does not care what you race, does not care whether you have done this before, and does not think you need to earn a victory lap to take one.
Green light means the same thing here as it does at 800 feet.
In this town half the room has stood in a door waiting on it and the other half has sat on a dirt track waiting on it. Same word, same feeling, same reason your hands sweat. We built a shop around the ten seconds right after it.
WHY THIS EXISTS
A victory lap is supposed to be earned.
Not here. That is the joke and it is also the entire policy. Everybody who sits down gets one, whether they won, whether they spun on the first corner, whether they have ever driven anything faster than a minivan.
Sim racing has spent a decade acting like an expensive hobby for people who already know the etiquette. We think that is backwards. The best afternoon in this building is going to belong to somebody who walked in nervous.
WHY FAYETTEVILLE
It was already a racing town.
We are not importing racing culture here. It has been on the clay at Fayetteville Motor Speedway for decades, up the road at the dragstrip, and in every driveway and motor pool where somebody is arguing about gear ratios.
What was missing was a place open on a Tuesday, in the air conditioning, where the guy with a full late model program and the kid who has never driven anything end up in the same heat.
- Fayetteville Motor SpeedwayThe dirt on Doc Bennett Road has been running longer than most of us have been alive. Go on a Saturday night. We will be in the stands.
- Dunn-Benson DragstripStraight line, up the road, still the cheapest adrenaline in the state.
- RockinghamAn hour west, and stock cars are turning laps there again.
- Every shop on Bragg BoulevardHalf this town can hear what is wrong with your engine from the parking lot.
HOW WE RUN IT
Four rules we do not break.
- ONE
Everybody drives
Nobody watches from a couch while their friends race. The whole room gets in a seat.
- TWO
Every seat is the same
Identical rigs, identical settings. The person who wins actually beat you.
- THREE
We tell you the truth
If your headcount does not fit your window, we say so instead of selling you the bigger package.
- FOUR
Local stays local
The boards on our circuit belong to businesses from here. So do the sponsorships, the leagues, and the lap record.
